NRS has something to flap about
Nottingham Rehab Supplies are offering birdwatchers the perfect springtime group activity with the Wooden Birdhouse Activity pack.
With increasingly warmer spring temperatures, many of Britain’s birds are nesting earlier in the year, making late February and early March the ideal times to start putting up nest boxes to attract the birds into gardens.
The NRS Wooden Birdhouse Group Activity Pack is ideal for all ages and abilities, being particularly suitable for care and residential homes or schools as well as offering great value for money.
Sandra King, NRS Brand Director said: “Our popular group activity packs are suitable for up to 24 people and are a great way to bring individuals together in social groups with a stimulating activity that will brighten their day, especially in the residential or care home environment where time can sometimes pass slowly.”
The pack includes everything needed to produce the perfect home for feathered visitors to the garden.
There are 24 birdhouses - eight each of three different designs - built and ready to paint with a selection of non-toxic watercolour and acrylic paints and brushes provided. The packs contain sandpaper for finishing off any rough edges as well as multi-level instructions.
Sandra said: “It’s great to think that the hard work spent creating the birdhouses can be rewarded when a bird moves in to the home. The whole painting group can then watch the activities from a reasonable distance and enjoy the pleasure of a successful brood brought off the nest.
“To get the most pleasure out of your nest box(es), place them in view of the care home or school window and remember to site the box correctly and in a position where the birds will be safe from potential predators like marauding cats.”
