Destination West Midlands

Destination West Midlands is a new region-wide Partnership aiming to improve the quality, availability and impact of third sector infrastructure support in the West Midlands.

Infrastructure support helps organisations (ranging from small networks of individuals to big not-for-profit service providers) to form, develop and succees. Infrastructure support is provided in many ways including training, resources, advocacy, equipment and moeny - and includes but is not limited to support with:

finances (eg financial management and income generation);
human resources (eg recruitment, skills, volunteering);
physical & systems assets (eg buildings & ICT);
management & governance;
voice, engagement & campaigning;
quality & performance improvement.

Destination West Midlands has recently published an outline strategy and plan for the development of third sector infrastructure support at regional level between 2008 and 2014.

Oganisations and stakeholders are being invited to read the strategy and plan and to become involved in the delivery strategy between now and 2014. The principle partner of Destination West Midlands is Regional Action West Midlands (RAWM).
