Park Life Launched!

Residents and visitors can now find out about the parks, play areas and green spaces in Stafford Borough with the launch of a new brochure.

The colourful Park Life brochure is a user-friendly guide to the parks, play areas and local nature reserves. It contains maps, a list of the facilities in the parks, details of the Friends of Victoria Park Group, a play area activity key, details of the local nature reserves, Walking for Health information and useful contact details.

Councillor Mike Smith, Cabinet Member for Leisure commented “ With the council’s Park Life brochure, residents and visitors are encouraged to explore our six main parks, over 70 equipped play areas, and various nature reserves across the Borough.”

The parks in the borough are ideal settings to sit and relax or undertake one of the many diverse activities for which they are designed, and the range of informal open spaces with the opportunity for various leisure pursuits complements the formal splendour of the parks.

In addition to the parks, Stafford Borough has over 70 equipped play areas, designed to meet the different needs of toddlers, juniors and teenagers, and a selection of local nature reserves playing an important role as a home for wildlife.

The Park Life brochure is available from several locations including Stafford’s Tourist Information Centre, Stafford Borough Council’s civic centre, a range of parks and online at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/leisure
