Spaghetti Wordsmith - Albert Watson

Albert has sent us his latest piece of creative genius and asks "Pete. I wonder if the older kids will enjoy this one? A slightly spooky poem that follows on from that lovely childrens song
'The Teddy Bears Picnic.'"

Beware the Night Najjers.

The Teddy’s are home tucked up in bed.
‘Is it safe now, in the woods’ Charlie said.
Jordan told Charlie, ‘we’ll go but take care,
From my understanding, Night Najjers are there.’
‘What are Night Najjers please Jordan tell me?’
‘Their arms are like Gibbons, they swing from a tree.
Large heads shine like pumpkins, around Halloween.
Blue is there body with stripes red and green.’
‘They tell me for fingers, there’s scissors two pair.
I don’t think Charlie, they’ll be cutting our hair.
It’s said about midnight they have lots to eat,
Girls ears and their noses, then boys smelly feet.’
‘Well Jordan,’ said Charlie ‘It’s looking like rain,
So let us consider this adventure again.’
Saved by the weather they’d no more to fear.
Again to those woods, they never went near.
