Three Cheers for the West Midlands!

You’ve done it! After six months of wonderful entries, you’ve shared brilliant times, amazing stories, donated over 106,000 pictures to The Big Picture, and above all, you have smashed that world record!

Every photograph submitted to the project will now appear in the final record-breaking mosaic the size of three tennis courts! Come and see the grand unveiling of the final Big Picture at Birmingham’s Thinktank Science Museum, Millennium Point on Saturday 23 August. It's sure to be an awesome sight as the final mosaic creates the image of one of the many thousands sent in, but the chosen photo will be kept a secret until the big day! Keep an eye out for more details on the day's festivities and how you can witness history in the making.

So, that’s the good news.

The great news is that although the world record attempt is safely on its way, there are still lots of ways you can be involved with The Big Picture and keep those cameras snapping. Check the website for up-to-date info on how you can still be involved in the world record, catch the latest updates, photos and videos from the construction of the mosaic, get more photo tips and tricks from the pro’s, read even more great stories plus tons of other goings on.

Thanks to you all for your contributions so far in this belter of an arts project, and we look forward to seeing you very soon.
