Practise your best Dalek impression and brush up on your Kling-on, for an afternoon of SCI- FI Fun at St Mary and St Margaret’s Parish Church in Castle Bromwich.
The annual Garden Fete takes on an intergalactic theme this year and beams down into the church grounds on Saturday 13th June 2009.
A variety of stalls and competitions are on offer including Skittles, Beat the Goalie, raffles, tombola’s, children’s games, Spot the Alien plus prizes for the best and most unusual outfit! The Second City Dance Troupe will entertain along with our very own UFO’s or rather the ‘OFBs’ who will be providing music throughout the afternoon. The ever popular trips up the Bell Tower will be available once again but places sell out fast so get in early to avoid disappointment! And when you are running low on fuel, boost your power cells with hot dogs, ice creams and Fair Trade refreshments.
Proceeds from the day will go towards the up keep of the 18th century church and will help fund the new church facilities.
Blast off is at 2pm until 4.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
