The Company of the Curtain are proud to present their latest production, OLIVER TWIST.
Benjamin Field who successfully directed the Company’s production of Blood Brothers in March 2009 has put together another talented cast (including the young actors who played Eddie and Mickey, as “Oliver” and “the Dodger”) who promise to entertain and enthral like never before. The actors will not be singing or dancing but are ready to bring exquisite drama to their next audience by telling the story of Oliver Twist, in a humorous and gripping production. Talking about the production Benjamin says “After we finished Blood Brothers I was amazed by the reaction from people who claimed that they had never believed that such a creative and highly polished production would be possible in a village hall. So this time I have explained to the cast that we have to “raise the bar” and deliver the unexpected yet again and, if current form is anything to go by, we’re onto a winner!”
Benjamin also states that “Company of the Curtain” have been delivering fantastic theatre to the local community for over 70 years and is confident that this play will be “our best yet” and hopefully the audience will be heard leaving the performance, asking for “MORE”!
Oliver Twist runs from the 16th – 20th March. Tickets are £5 Tuesday 16th and £7 Wednesday – Saturday at Curdworth Village Hall. For Box Office please ring Anne Jones on 01675 463 095 or email cotc@hotmail.com.
